On Tuesday, June 21 from 11am-2pm, NAPEO’s New
York Leadership Council will meet at The University Club of Albany, in Albany,
NY. Lori Roberts, supervising labor standards investigator for the New York
State Department of Labor’s Permit and Certificate Unit, will join NAPEO’s New
York Leadership Council Forum to share her thoughts and suggestions regarding
the application program and process for PEOs registering in New York. Also
before the networking luncheon, Jennifer Robinson, Risk Transfer’s senior vice
president and producer/partner, will discuss workers’ compensation developments
in New York and issues across the country. After the break, attendees will
receive an update on the IRS’s new SBEA regulations and NAPEO’s implementation
plan. The update will also discuss the U.S. Department of Labor’s new overtime
regulations. Tim Sheridan, NAPEO’s New York contract lobbyist, will join the
forum to provide a political overview and update on the political landscape in
the state.
